Wow, love this idea. A nice heart-warming scene at a glance, but when you look closer.
I really like this. Especially that faint smile on Altair's face. Its like a I-know-something-you-don't kind of smile that still comes off as kind.

Sitting on a bench has always been my favorite way to hide from the guards. You're sit down like "hey guys, what's up?" and the guards go walking by like they can't discern one lowly bench-perching peasant from another. Hilarious every time!

I have to agree with one of the first comments. This wonderful drawing is showing his fatherly side hiding the blade away from the child, it makes you love Altair more (and sadder that he's now dead D8).
The Smile Altair has, even though its small, is sticking out to me. Your background fits in nicely with this scene and I really love the detail you put into their clothes and of course the child's eyes are so innocent lol.
You are definitely one of my idols and you inspire me to learn how to draw people more!
