I love the fact that the little boy is holding out his wooden toy like an invitation to play and Altair's smirk is like a good natured answer. I also like that the bloody blade is obvious the audience and no one else.

This is pretty cool, I like it.
Although, the way the lore works in the games, the hidden blade is spring loaded and built to pop in and out when his hand is in a specific position. It wouldn't just hang out.
However, that is just a fan of the game nitpicking a bit. This piece bleeds excellence anyway.

lol the truth is that the kid is actually Altair's new apprentice and so he is actually helping Altair look innocent to the guards as they run by. Altair is smiling because he is amused that the little kid somehow made a wooden horse out of something he probably stole.
The knife? Altair is actually hiding it from the guards.
lol. had some fun with this picture. it is just sooo well done and it actually fits one of my rps that i am doing. that is actually what my explanation is. lol.

Haha, that's a pretty awesome picture, a little cartoony for how the game is, but it's still very cool. I personally like Ezio from the second better, but Altair is still kickass.
