Was the request by Scarletcougar? I saw a scene like that from her story 'Hard Truths Between Altair and Malik' (CHP 7 if I remember right) Where Altair was looking for a missing novice, was spotted by Templars and blended in by sitting at a bench, only to discover the child next to him was the aforementioned missing novice.
Not sure if its the same, but seems similar...
