Jason groaned as he trudged slowly to his safehouse. The poor man was aching everywhere! He wasn’t hurt or injured, but his poor joints were aching and his muscles were sore.

Finally, Jason reached the front door. Before heading in, he made sure to check his surroundings in case someone was tailing him. Once satisfied, he opened the door and stepped inside.

What he saw inside surprised him.

Inside, his beloved girlfriend was standing with a small, white and red cake. A large smile decorated her delicate features and her clothing helped to accentuate her curves. She looked as beautiful as ever.

“Happy birthday, my Prince,” she greeted gleefully.

A large smile also made its way onto Jason’s face. All of a sudden, it didn’t seem to matter that his body ached, as long as his beloved was there to greet him with a smile on her face. “Thank you, Baby Bird,” he uttered huskily as he closed the gap between them. Gently, he cupped her cheek and leaned down to kiss her gratefully.
