Ah. Makes sense completely. I think it only came to my head cause no one seems to give FF9 enough credit. It was personally my second favorite (X is my fave ff.) But I mean hey, what can ya do. Not everyone likes the FANTASY style of rpgs.

it doesn't really matter. 6x8 is the smallest i would comfortably recommend, but it's all what you get used to using.

i dig your line quality for sure, but youve got some weird things goin on here, like faces, every male has the same male face and every female has the same female face. Its not a major problem its just weird... Phil Noto has the same problem and hes a pretty big comic guy. But every chick looks the same with a different haircut and every dude looks the same.
your sense of anatomy is super solid but your faces seem real throway.
sorry if I come off as being negative I just think your hardcore at most things but when it comes to facees it looks like you went for an anime style which is just holding you back.
Trust me I dig what youve got here I just think you could rock the shit a bit more if you worked on facial anatomy

Oh, it's no problem, John. I appreciate the crit. Yeah, I'm actually slowly working on veering away from the anime-styled stuff. I've been told before, it's a never-ending struggle... I just can't help but find it inspiring. To be fair, this is obviously just a gigantic fanart, my aim was quantity over quality, and the original designs for these characters' facial structures aren't exactly that interesting to begin with. I could have expounded on it... and tried to pull off unique facial anatomy, but I didn't. Perhaps I'll do some portraits or something sometime just for you. haha
