I'm still taking break, but I'm eager to upload this before it gets buried in my gallery.I'm very very happy with this piece, it's my first serious attempt at digital painting and I think I succeeded.
My main inspiration for the piece was the work of Junji Ito, an amazing manga horror creator.
There are a couple things that, looking back on, I wish I could touch up, but it's fine. I'm happy.
My goal was for this to put you in the uncanny valley, or at least creep you out a bit. I hope it does. But I also hope it's not so creepy that you can appreciate my effort
My favorite part about this piece is the eyes and the flesh around them, I think those are the best part of the piece.
