My grandfather loved clowns, he had tons of pictures of them around his house. His house was a mansion, and he had about four clown themed things in every room, it was quite strange, but I must say having been around clown art all my life this is by far one of my favorites. I love this.

I'd fav this if I didn't have a terrible fear of clowns O.O The shading throughout the face is phenomenal. Oil painting right?

I like the style, I like how you achieved realism with a rough stroke technique, its unique and a great style. Does that date say 1978?

Absolutely beautiful use of color! It looks so somber. I love the painted on smile on the sad face.

Lovely brush strokes you applied, and the colours are bright yet not that 'retty'. It suits the melancholy of a bitter-sweet smile just fine. That's -in a way- what a clow represents to me. Bittersweet entertainment.

I have mixed feelings concerning this one. It is wonderfully done; the facial expression and the colors are precise. But the clown is a slightly creepy (or is it just me?).
