an elegant and minimalistic Pack of Visual Styles for Windows 8.1 that doesn't get in the way of your productivity.
+BONUS: Matching Firefox Style for the dark themes available here .
EXTRA STUFF!!! make sure you checkout the 2 matching PotPlayer skins: Simplify Light for PotPlayer and Simplify Dark for PotPlayer .
IMPORTAT!!!! The themes don't change the icons! I never said they do! If you want to change the system icons you can use iPacks. In the preview I've used this iPack: numix iPack . If you want to change the taskbar icons then please google something like "how to change the taskbar icons in windows".
• create a Restore Point using System Restore (safety first!)
• patch Windows so you can use 3rd party themes using this tool: uxstyle.com
• install the theme by copying the content of the Themes/Light Themes or Themes/Dark Themes folder in "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\"
• apply the theme from the Personalize panel
• apply the registry settings by applying the corresponding .reg file in the Window Metrics folder
• remove the hover glow of the taskbar buttons: System>Advanced Settings>Performance Settings>uncheck Animations in the taskbar
• restart Windows and...
• enjoy using your new themes!
• OPTIONAL for Dark Point and Light Lines themes: use OldNewExplorer and check Use command bar instead of Ribbon option and all the sub-options except for the Hide caption text in File Explorer windows
• OPTIONAL! narrow vertical taskbar: use 7+ Taskbar Tweaker . Right click on the tray icon>advanced settings and set the no_width_limit = 1
• OPTIONAL! change the system icons: install the numix iPack
• 10 awesome Windows themes + extra variations: folders Themes...
• matching windows cursor schemes: folder Resources\Cursors

I'm going to make some windows applications (Custom Minecraft Launcher, Custom text editor etc...)
And I wish to use your theme in my futur apps (png/jpg taken from msstyles files).

I see... yeah, sure, you can use the resources from the theme as long as you give me credit.
But usually using graphic elements from something else in not really a good idea. That's what happens when a developer makes the design as well, and that's why many great software look so poorly designed.
You need to work on the software design with a designer, someone who knows what he's doing, that way your apps won't look like Frankenstein with various parts put together from different places.

I'm loving your design and I'm a happy buyer!
I have two problems though:
1. In my fav style, dark micro, I can only see numbers were the dots should be! (next to several folders/etc)
2. It is normal that the design randomly stops working partially when casually turning on the computer? There is some way to fix this and not bother about it never again?

1. Can you please send me a screenshot cause I don't understand exactly what you mean.
2. That has nothing to do with the theme but the way uxstyle works. It uses the RAM to enable the custom theming in windows and if you used the quick boot feature in windows then when you shut down the computer it normally keeps some info in the RAM and when you turn it on it gets all screwed up. Try using Universal Theme Patcher instead but make sure to uninstall uxtyle first. Or just disable quick boot in the power options: winaero.com/blog/how-to-disabl…

1. not sure what the problem is there? the number 2 means you have 2 windows opened of the same app. 3+ means there are more than 3... I think it's pretty intuitive! the taskbar is not the same for all themes. I tried to do something new with each variations and you'll notice that there are other elements that differ from variation to variation.

Ooooh, I see. I thought them all had circles instead of numbers. So it's not a glitch... well, I would prefer it being a circle in the dark micro theme though, haha. Could I get a mini custom one?

I'm so sorry for this newbie question bro.. I have got a few little problems here..
- Installation going right as mentioned in good order, but somehow my pc cannot detect theme on personalize panel, unless I clicked them after I put it as you mentioned in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\.. and personalize panel only showed & detect one theme at a time..
- Only my "close, minimize,maximize" icon button & taskbar icon button didn't change, and other icons are changed perfectly and just fine..
- and last, there are some folders that got some error when showing thumbnails..
I'm already restore it back to its previous state, so I can't show you how the proofs.. but again I'm sorry to bother you man but could you somehow tell me what did I do wrong??

my first guess is that you didn't copy the right files in the right place... so please send me a screenshot with your C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\ folder. You have to have the .theme files and the folders with the same name in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\. Just look at how the default aero theme is organised in there.
also make sure you are running windows 8.1 and not windows 10 or something and also make sure you installed uxstyle properly.
regarding the icons... the theme has nothing to do with the iPack... and I didn't make that iPack with icons.. if you have problems with it, write a comment to the author!
