Description So I was watching weapons videos on Youtube, and I just randomly thought up an idea for a more realistic Hidden Blade from the Assassin's Creed series of video games. Not necessarily more practical, just something that would possibly work in real life. Assassin's Creed is owned by Ubisoft. Hope other weapon enthusiasts enjoy this one (or anyone that just likes strange weapons). The left image shows the blade in stabbing position with a view of the internals. The middle one shows the blade in stabbing position in a different angle without the inside view. The right image is the internals when it's closed. There are still some problems with the design, but this is something I came up with in probably an hour, so I didn't put much time into it. That said, if I decide to improve the design, I may post the redesigned version later.

1. Knob for opening the blade. When one wants to open the blade, they have to push this knob to get it into stabbing position.

2. Since the design has a spring holding the blade in place, the user would have to depress this bit to get the blade into a safe(r) position.

3. A spring that holds the blade in stabby position a bit like a locking pocketknife.

4. The blade. The stabby bit.

5. A handle to give it thrusting power (totally not dirty). Because otherwise the assassin would just be pushing the back of the bracer against the inside of his or her elbow, which sound painful to me.

6. The blade slides in an internal rail, which the groove (or the bit that goes into a groove), is shown in the left image. The middle one shows the groove for the opener knob.

7. These are just buttons. I couldn't think of a better way to fasten the bracer.

8. The body of the weapon could probably be lengthened in the design, so a really smart (or really crazy) assassin could turn the hidden blade into a hidden (poorly) shortsword.
