Marge was upset with Lisa
Marge was scolding Lisa
Marge: Lisa! I told you and your brother to not disobey me but you did it anyway! I don’t know how many times I have to tell you kids to behave! This is getting ridiculous! I’ve had it with you kids!
Lisa just looks at her mother in anger and sadness at the same time
She looks at her mom and just straight up said to her
Lisa: Yeah well sorry that we aren’t good enough for you, mom! I apologize that we aren’t good enough for either of you! Dad is the same way with Bart! It’s like no matter how hard we try, we just can never be perfect for you guys! Ever!
Lisa says then she turns away
That made Marge feel bad
Like very bad
Marge not only felt like it hurt her feelings
But it made her look like a bad mother along with homer
Marge had tears in her eyes
Marge: n…no I …didn’t mean it like that…That’s not what I was saying…I just wanted you to listen..!
Marge then turns around and cries
Lisa heard her mom crying behind her
Lisa didn’t mean to make her mom cry
She just lost it and said it
All Lisa wanted was to be a good daughter for her mom
But it seemed like she could never get it right
And Homer was the same way with Bart
He got after him over some stuff but he was drunk at the time
Marge wasn’t drunk though
It’s like
They just feel like they are bad parents
Marge just feels like she’s the one who isn’t good enough
It wasn’t Lisa’s intention to make her mom cry
She felt bad and she started crying along
Lisa then says
Lisa; oh mom please don’t cry! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it!
Lisa rushes to her mom and hugs her
Marge: I’m so sorry too, Lisa. I’m sorry I yelled at you. I just wanted you guys to just listen to us is all…I just wanted you guys to obey us and always be truthful about things.
Lisa: it’s ok mama. I understand. I’m also sorry. I promise to listen to you. I won’t let you down mama
Marge hugs Lisa even tighter
Homer and Bart were in the hallway
They listened the entire time
Homer and Bart look at eachother in sadness
They had the same issue
Homer and Bart end up hugging eachother as well
