Simba grew up with Timon and pumbaa
And put the past behind him
But when Nala found Simba
She asks him
Nala: simba..I thought you died..what happened to you?
Simba just looks at the ground in sadness
And tells Nala about his past
Simba: I never died…I ran away. Apparently I was blamed for something and my uncle punished me a bit too much. He would hit me and say things like “You were such an accident, simba! You drive me crazy and make me wonder why you are even here on pride rock!” Scar would beat me or punish me more like it, and I didn’t want to live with my abusive uncle scar. Everyday I would be punished and I was called a mistake. And I couldn’t take the abuse…anymore. So I just ran away. And I was raised by Timon and pumbaa. I never died…nala. I never died.
Nala just looks at Simba In shocked sadness and silence
Nala stayed silent for a whole minute
Thinking of what to say
Feeling very bad for her friend being treated this way
Simba: and that was why I refuse to go back and take place as king…I just couldn’t do it…
He says as he covers his eyes with his paw in sadness
Nala comforts Simba
Nala: oh Simba, I was never aware of this. I am so sorry that you’ve been through that.
