Whispmane is a unicorn stallion who has gifted immortality by Celestia for his good deeds he did for ponies in the early years of Equestria. With those days long behind him, he is instead a bitter old man who wishes he could die. Staying alive so long caused him to lose any desire to have relationships with others. He is now jaded, and curses anyone he sees fit. Also a very petty pony and a genius with magic.

I just find them very cute together.
