I had first come up with this idea on Saturday a couple of hours before my all-night Halo ODST game with and had begun to make it, but when I went into Halo ODST to get the descriptions of the difficulties for this comic, I was unexpectedly joined by a couple of previous Halo comrades known as Reaper Man and Onikage. Blame them for you not getting this sooner.

I also wanted to use Halo ODST's difficulty icons, but I couldn't find pictures of them online, so I decided to use Halo 3 icons in their place. It works out alright.

The ODST seen in panel 2 and 3 is inaccurate for the actual game. For whatever reason, Bungie decided not to include the Battle Rifle at all, even though plenty of Marines were using it at that time in that very battle. The BR ODST looks the most casual though.

In case you don't get Panel 6's joke, there's an effect called "Grunt Birthday Party" that you can turn on that makes Grunt heads explode into confetti and cheers when you hit them with a headshot weapon.

Panel 9 is a Left 4 Dead joke in case you don't get it.

And yes, Legendary difficulty really can be that hard. At least it's not the unofficial "Mythic" difficulty.
