*WARNING!!! THIS DESCRIPTION CONTAINS SPOILERS!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!*AstroxCora Forever! X3 But no, seriously, they look so cute together, don't they? (If you answer no, you better be able to do this---> You>
1. Astro may be a robot, but he was created based on a human, and was imprinted with Toby's personality and feelings.
2. This kinda ties in with reason 1, but since Astro has a human's personality and such, wouldn't he have some sort of instict or something to like human girls?
3. Of course, we have to think of Cora as well. I admit that most human girls probably wouldn't care much about going out with a robot, but she doesn't care about what's on the outside, such as gears and things like that. She knows about his human personality and the fact that he is the closest thing to a human being that she will ever have any interset in, hence this quote from Dr. Elefun: "He was more human than any of us."
4. There is OBVIOUSLY something going on between them. Astro OBVIOUSLY likes Cora, and Cora OBVIOUSLY likes Astro. Did you not SEE how Cora acted when Astro's blue core was destroyed, and he basically died (before ZOG revived him with a bit of his blue core energy)?!?!?! End of story. X3

I mean, I did notice that she looks older than Astro, but I say that's just because they made her so skinny (I hate her for that. TT_TT) and Astro is a bit stockier and rounder, so he looks slightly more like a baby.

Yeah, I heard there was a conflict between the creators and the animation designers. They wanted Astro to look young but not too young. That's was the compromise anyway. In conclusion Astro has more a a adult look.

Yeah, I had read that Imagi Studios wanted to make him look older and more mature, but Tezuka Productions wanted to keep him looking young, and they eventually had to make a compromise so he still looks young, but slightly more mature. I kinda like the new version better myself. He's hotter. :3

Ditto. Although, Astro actually did fall in love (in the 1980s series, I think). He fell for a robot girl named Niki, I think. She was a robot built with a bomb inside of her, and she had to be deactivated and taken apart in order to stop the bomb, but she was too complicated to be put back together. Astro was really sad and asked Dr. Elefun (Ochanomizu) to replace his feet with Niki's feet so that she would always be a part of him. It's really sweet, but I still wholeheartedly support AstroxCora.

I'm planning on starting up a project called Project Astro Sequel where I plan to do just about everything I possibly can to get a sequel made.
Y'know, that's actually a really good idea! I'll try and find a way to weasel it in when I'm writing the story!
In the sequel, I'm going to try and keep the whole AstroxCora thing kinda tame, since the first movie wasn't all out with it (probably mostly just because it's a flat-out kids' movie), and I think they would still prefer it that way in a sequel as well, unfortunately for us.
Of course, it all leads up to a little kiss on the cheek in the end (again, still trying to keep it tame)! X3 But a kiss is still a kiss!!! And hey, they can't just say that there's absolutely NO way that there's anything between them at all, especially with the scenes you mentioned.
Also, in the sequel, they'll be a year older, so they'll have had time to mature and get to know each other better and things like that.
A cool thing about the sequel is that I plan on delving deeper into Cora's past. I mean, am I the only person who wonders just how exactly Cora got from Metro City to the Surface? Seriously.
And now, I think I'm probably the one who needs to shut up. XD

Yes, Astro can blush. Personally, I believe that Dr. Tenma had access to many extreme kinds of technologies when he built Astro. I mean, come on. He was able to scan one of Toby's hairs and put his memories and personality into a robot. That's pretty dang advanced if you ask me! If he could make a robot act just like a real person, surely he could make it blush!

The thing that allowed me to go into Cora's past was when I created a character to put in the sequel, whom Cora knows: a sixteen-year-old boy named Drace. Drace is very different from normal humans in that... the villain of the sequel (unnamed) mutated him, so he has super speed and the random ability to see a few seconds into the future! X3 From what I have so far, when Cora was little, she decided to run away from her parents. She knew Drace, who also wanted to run away from his parents, and they ran away together. Drace hijacked his parents' car (the blue one that they ride in the movie) and they flew down to the Surface. Somehow, Cora ends up getting separated from Drace and gets hurt (nothing too bad; just a broken leg maybe). Trashcan finds her somehow, and finds Drace, then brings him back to Cora. Drace then takes Cora and ends up finding Hammegg's place when looking for help. Then, after Hammegg helps Cora, Drace mysteriously disappears (we later find out that he was kidnapped by the villain). That's the best I have on her past so far.

Uh-oh! Looks like Astro has some competition! Lolz. Maybe that should be part of the sequel. I also had another idea. What if Astro somehow becomes evil, and Cora and the others have to figure out what's wrong and help him?

Yeah, I kinda thought that as well, but I just don't think of Cora as liking Drace, or Drace as liking her, since not only have they not seen each other in, like, five years (Cora actually though Drace was dead), but Drace, at least, doesn't have any interest in love at the moment. All he wants is to be free from the villain's grasp after having been tested on, fought, and kept in a dungeon for five or so years.
Are you stealing my frigging ideas?! That was one of the main concepts that gave rise to this idea! See, this is the basic idea (which ties in with Astro turning evil):
Basically, Astro is lonely. He's lonely because he feels like he's the only one of his kind, in a way. He's human in every way except that he's a robot, to put it simply. So as his birthday approaches, Dr. Tenma and Dr. Elefun decide to build Astro a little sister, Uran (who was in the 1950 and 1980 series), as his birthday gift. In Uran's creation process though, Dr. Tenma and Dr. Elefun had managed to get hold of another blue core, but were left with another red core as well. They thought they had managed to hide the red core successfully, but they were very wrong. The villain manages to get ahold of the second red core and replaces Astro's blue core with the red one, turning him insanely EVIL!!! XD Gosh, I'm running out of story to tell. X3
Someone does get hurt, though, and Astro does cry (or at least get very sad over it). Should I tell who gets hurt? I wonder...

THAT WAS MY IDEA TOO-TO USE ANOTHER RED CORE! Hooray!!!! Oh I know who the villain should be. That guy.......um.......his name escapes me right now. The guy who wanted to win the election? Anyways, yea. Oh and about the getting hurt thing. How about Astro almost destroys TRASHCAN (but fixes him) and...how about he hurts Cora too? That would make the plot more interesting and also make Astro even sadder and the emotion deeper.

Uh, you mean President Stone? I was kinda hoping for a new villain. Also, I don't think Stone would have the brains to do what the villain I have is planning to do.
I never really thought about him hurting Trashcan, but... YES. Cora. Poor Cora. Astro nearly kills her, along with Uran, Drace, Trashcan, and everyone else. I'm not sure how exactly we get to this point, but I know at the end, there'a a BIG battle, and even though Astro (good again) wins, everyone, including Astro, is majorly hurt. Really, all you see is where everyone is hurt and maybe the building is crumbling or something, and Astro tries to save everyone, but blacks out. When you come back, we see that everyone's alive, but Cora is hurt badly enough to be in the hospital, Drace is pretty much OK (I guess the villain increased his healing capabilities as well), and Astro and Uran are OK, since all Dr. Tenma and Dr. Elefun had to do to fix them was replace a few parts here and there and they're good as new. All of Cora's crew got out with scrapes and bruises since they weren't all up in the action like everyone else (wimps). Astro is sitting by Cora's bed in the hospital and is really sad that he's the reason why Cora's hurt and is blaming himself for everything. Soon enough, Cora wakes up (Astro hugs her since he was afraid that she wasn't going to wake up) and Astro can't hold back his tears anymore, so he's forced to let them out. Cora manages to comfort him, and when he fnially calms down, Cora gives him a little peck on the cheek, which of course tosses him into a little love-struck daze (I'm thinking about Uran running in and ruining the moment by going "Ewww! Mushy!"). After, he gets a little message from Drace telling him to get his butt outside, and Astro once again assumes his role (this time with Drace and Uran by his side) as Metro City's protector.

And yes, we should absolutely have Uran ruin the moment XD. "Ewww! Mushy!" XD I guess she can sense the love in the room as well x3 (Can you feel the love tonight?) Lol anyways, that's a very good idea. Oh and I have one too-maybe for the beginning of the movie. I thought this might be good for alittle humor. I'm still not sure quite how this happens, but I thought it would be funny if Cora came out of..wherever they live, and finds Astro stuck to a giant magnet! XDDD Maybe you can help me out with what happens?

I was origianally thinking that he could jump out the window and fly around in circles and loops shouting "She kissed me!", but I thought it was a little much. Even Astro needs a little seriousness.
A GIANT MAGNET?!?! 
He's just beaten a magnetic monster in a battle, but several parts of the monster fall off it and stick to Astro (imagine Cora walking up to him, and he walks up to her, trying to look all cool and smooth, and then a giant magnet like those you see in junkyards that they use to lift cars suddenly falls on top of him with a gaint "CLANG!!!" XD Cora runs up and asks him if he's OK, and he says he is, despite being hopelessly stuck under the magnet.).
I guess this will be my last post tonight too. Gosh, I hate school nights. TT_TT

That kinda reminds me of an idea I had for the sequel where Astro and Cora are standing together, having a slightly awkward conversation (hence the constant blushing and stammering), and suddenly Zane walks up behind Cora and attempts to nonchalantly push her on Astro, and partially succeeds. She falls on top of Astro and there's MAJOR blushage going on, but Cora quickly gets up and kicks Zane's butt. Poor Zane! He was just trying to help! X3

OMG at LAST another Astro & Cora fan!!
Heehee, you're the first one I meet as well, and on any site since the movie came out! Oh, my.... Really at last I'm not alone anymore! 
...So, around august/september, I wouldn't stop searching for pics, reviews, forums and stuff. Obviously since it wasn't come out already there wasn't much info but I was very impatient to learn more about it! I was also more than curious about that new girl Imagi had added in the movie, Cora.^^ And, right when I saw her in the first teaser trailer, I deeply hoped for her to be more than just a washed-like character we'd see for about one minute. Well I also was just a little wondering, unsure if she was about to add something to the film or on the contrary, take off some of its original contain. ...and guess what?...
.....O-M-G I SO didn't regret it!!! If she hadn't been there, this movie (and for sure), wouldn't have caught my interest and gangirlish admiration like it did on october 24th. 
By the way...!

I myself was kinda afraid that I was the only one, especially when I looked both on DA and Google to find pics of Astro and Cora, and found nothing. I expected to find at least SOMETHING, since movie, TV show, and comic fan art seems to pop up pretty quickly.
That's almost everything I love in a movie too! Animation, good plot, cool characters, even a little bit of life-or-death violence (sorta)! XD ... Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the other thing that I like: FLUFF!!! I WANT MORE FLUFF!!! X3
When I first saw the trailers, I already suspected that if there was any pairing at all, it would most likely be AstroxCora, since she's, like, the only elligible female character that I saw. X3
Tell you what, if there's one movie that I want to see again in theaters, it's Astro Boy. I can't WAIT until it comes out on DVD!
I WANNA SEQUEL TOO!!! Maybe we should start a petition and if enough people sign it, send it to the company and request that they make another movie! X3 I guess I could kinda start writing my own little fan-script, since I've done it so many times before. X3

BTW I'm currently working on a big manga on AstroxCora. I can't think of a name, unfortunately... TT_TT It's gonna be awesome, though. It has fluff, action, and flat-out comedy! I luffs it! X3
