It´s finished! GotG is the main reason why I wasn´t posting new art for some time (it took 3 weeks, maybe about 30 hours). This is the illustration for my very first (and last) poem called "Guards of the Gate" which should have a place in our Czech short-story book The Shadows of Wings written by many members of our draci.info community. It´s written only in Czech but for you - it is about two Dragons guarding the magic Gate to the land of fantasy. Uninvited intruder want to go through and destroy all dreams, magic and fantasy because he doesn´t understand them . At the end of this story, he is burned by Dragons which is why the fantasy stayed with us... The poem is very symbolic for me, but not high-quality ( I am not a poet : )I drew an illustration with the same theme in 2005 www.draci.info/users/pics/view… but I wanted to draw new one, better

Na me je stara verze moc svetla a malo detailni...proste moje stara technika : ) Ale je to zase o necem jinem, i ten celkovy pohled je brany z uplne jineho uhlu. Draky jsem akorat pouzila v brane, krome lebky by se mely v mrizovi rysovat draci kridla, ale to asi dost zaniklo :/ I kdyz to tak asi nevypada, tak brana ma promysleny mechanismus aby byla funkcni - prava cast (z pohledu pozorovatele) je svrchni, otvira se prvni smerem k vetrelci. Ale je to brana magicka takze nema zadny zamek, ale musi nejprve "vyjet" nahoru ze zeme, aby se vubec dala otevrit

ahaaa uz to vidim ze je cela v zemi... dyk to rikam je to jako plot
k te technice.. idkyz je stara je porad tvoje je to ta sama jen se zmenila s tvym vekem a skusenostmi

This is very good - your pencil work is so clean! How do you draw without smudging? Anyway, love the shadows and textures - very nice work!

wow, tak tohle je vskutku parádní. Nejvíc se mi asi líbí samotní draci a jejich šupiny, brána a obrovský obdiv si zaslouží perspektiva a krásné provedení kamínků i skrze bránu. A ta člověčí silueta je dobrá... snad bych vytkla jen to, že drakovi vpravo není vidět kus blány na pravém křídle (z jeho pohledu) ze spodní strany...ale jinak opravdu nestačím koukat...
