A similar story happened to a girl in my high school. I was sitting under a tree, finishing some last-minute homework, when I observed a barefoot girl; who was walking around looking for her shoes. Then, as I was about to pack up, I noticed my backpack seemed a bit more full than I remembered. So I opened it up and sure enough, her shoes were inside. Apparently, one of her friends slipped them into my backpack when I wasn't looking. Anyway, I gave them back to her and went to my class chuckling about it all the way.
