Joe Dan Lovejoy, a 30-40 year old guy who lives in a world where things that will kill you just appear without sign.he's also a good guy cop in a world where cops are seen as useless and the most likely to cause trouble.
also, people mistakenly call him Jordan, he has a body pillow of an anime girl cosplaying as a police car and has a melancholy/passive aggressive female hologram as a house keeper.
because of the information held from anyone that isn't a scientist on the subject or one of the elite, Joe didn't know jack sh*t about anything related to the monsters that would appear other than what he's gathered through speculation and investigation, finding a peculiar sight of a road pulsing with organic-looking things, deciding to try and take a tiny floating organic ball for research and/or a bounty, ending up with it piercing into his hand.
of course, he ends up as an opposition for the things that appear aswell as a target for everybody.
