Poor Auklet. Like Anemone, she is being forced to be tied to her mother at all times, never being able to choose where she goes and never getting any privacy. God, I hope she’s an extrovert.
Now, let’s talk about an issue with wof royalty that I don’t think anyone’s ever brang up before. What happens if a royal dragon is trans? If a princess becomes a prince, do they forfeit rights to the throne and vis versa? If so, I can imagine some dragons not coming out because they don’t want to forfeit rights to the throne, or alternatively because they don’t want to have them. I can also imagine dragons faking being trans for the opposite reason(which, really, I wouldn’t blame them for). If not, then I feel like it’s not fully accepting the fact that they’re trans. And also, what on earth happens if someone’s non-binary, bi-gender, intersexual, etc?

Also, I the maybe 5,000 years or so that dragons have had this form of government, the following has to have happened a few times: a dragon is an only child. An only daughter, in fact. And there are no other successors to the throne. The dragon is lesbian, ace-aro, or otherwise not interested in having children. However if they don’t want the entire kingdom to collapse upon their death, they must have children. Now that’s a nasty dilemma. Although now that I think of it, they could adopt a child. But then that child’s legitimacy might be questioned.
