I think it would be super funny if Sakura just starts dating this civilian girl one day and completely dropping Sasuke as a potential love interest. She just comes to training one day looking like a different person with a different attitude.

She doesn’t say anything about it and no one notices because they’ve mostly focused on the boys again.

He was even a boy for two months (has talked to Ino, who calls him Haruno to respect his gender, becoming best friends again) and decided no that doesn’t feel like her after all.

Then when that thing with Lee happens, she rejects him because she has a girlfriend. This is the first time Sasuke and Naruto hears about this.

“Yeah! Two weeks now, I thought you guys knew? I talk about her any chance a get. I think I’m doing a pretty good job with very first relationship ever!”

“I thought you liked Sasuke and boys?”

“Ino can have him, and I do like boys! I just like girls just as much.”

Blah blah blah when they break up, Sakura is just crying hard because it felt like it would be forever.
