Description I just want to show you what I am currently working on: Re-drawing all of my realistic Pokémon, of course.

So far, I have finished the first and about half of the second Gen, so you are getting the first Gen to look at.
I am also going to add these guys here to the Pokémon categories I made, but only when I finished with the seventh Gen.

These guys here are all the Pokémon from the First generation, complete with Mega Evolutions. Except for Kangaskhan, because Kangaskhan doesn't change.

Enjoy!

Also:
- Tauros is not a male only species. Female Tauros are just hard to distinguish from their male counterparts.
- Scyther is not related to Scizor. It just happens that Scizor sometimes lives in a pack of Scyther and hunts with them.
- There are male Kangaskhan too. They have a pouch to carry larger young.
- Chansey is female only, because their males are Blissey.

EDIT 07.12.22
Added my beloved Paldean Tauros(es). Again, there are females, but they do not look much different to the males. And I changed the Pikachu Line, because I discovered that Mountain Viscachas are a thing and since they look like rabbits with long tails, they fit Pikachu to a T. So, the Pikachu Line are now Chinchilla-related Mountain Viscachas.

There's a huge difference. My Pikachu is way cuter.

I like the idea of the slowpoke line being salamanders and the grimer line being pac man frogs.

IDK a colony of bugs that take formation of shapes?  some sort of weird barnacle that can be found on the beach side?

If I may ask a few questions

Why did you decide to model Magnemite and Magneton as crabs and not more robotic like?
How does Magneton form?
What happens when Magneton evolves into Magnezone?
Does the Magnemite line float?

Sorry for all the Magnemite related questions. Magnemite has always been my favorite pokemon and I just want to understand your logic.

DragonlordRynn In reply to ThePunReaper [2017-07-24 06:30:36 +0000 UTC]

-Well, in the first Draft they've actually been mites, then I changed them to crabs. And I decided on animals, because if I made them robots, what sense would it have made to draw them as realistic animals, huh?
-Magneton forms if three or more Magnemite simply stick together (see 'flight question')
-Magnemite grows into Magnezone, not Magneton (because it is made of several Magnemite). Magnemite grows its entire life, so eventually it grows into a huge crab, which is called Magnezone.
-Magnemite has metal inclusions in its shell and electric organs. It is able to manipulate its electric field to repel itself off the ground and float- this however does only work in areas charged with electricity (i.e. The Chargestone Cave, old electrical plants) or in metal-rich enviroments. Same reason is how Magneton forms- they simply stick together via magnetism.

While these re-drawings are awesome, I really liked your old versions of them too! If you have time and want to, couldn´t you make an image with the realistic Pokemon that you´ve redrawn and their originals? That might take time though, so don´t let it be in the way of other projects.
This isn´t really a request but rather a suggestion
If you decide to do this, please notify me about it, I´d love to see that!

Let's see whether I have time.

DragonlordRynn In reply to LoganPurple [2017-04-12 12:39:40 +0000 UTC]

That is an easy answer: They don't.

But Golem are known to lay eggs in caves filled with Geodude/Graveler who hibernate there, so it looks as if Geodude hatches from eggs Golem lays. Some idiot didn't pay attention.
And Golem's a Tortoise, by the way. Turtles are water-living.

This is intense! Brutally intense how epicly cool you´ve drawn all I mean all kind of Pokemon plus their alternative forms.
Really unexpected to see Geodude as a cute chubby TOAD for example! Wish the actual Pokemon would be one. XD

What kind of tortoise is blastoise based on?
Charmander and charmeleon look like dinosaurs but they are clearly a dragon hatchling and a juvenile dragon
Is clefairy a koala?
What is arcanine intended to be?
What kind of monkeys are me mime, hitmonchan and hitmonlee?
Which kinds of birds is the legendary trio based on?
Personally I would have drown the gastly line as birds (like others ghost type Pokèmon) but I like also your design
What are koffing, weezing and Gyarados intended to be??
My favorite tree are Mega Charizard X (epic one), Mewtwo and Mega Aerodactyl

DragonlordRynn In reply to Jok3r2000 [2017-01-24 08:39:54 +0000 UTC]

-Blastoise is heavily basing on the aligator snapping turtle, with a few dashes of larger land tortoises.
-Well, 'Dragon' isn't a singular species. In fact, Dragons come from several animal families- like birds, reptiles, dinosaurs, therapsides and even amphibians. Dragons are classified by two things: Vertebrates with six limbs or more, with one pair of limbs often having a different function; or generally being big, scary and do not fit into any other category. The Charmander family is a Dragon that has evolved from Dinosaurs.
-Yup. The entire Cleffa Family are koalas.
-Arcanine is basing on the Tibetan Mastiff.
-Mr.Mime is a tamarin-like monkey, while the Hitmon family are chimpanzee-like apes.
-Articuno is basing on a secretary bird (though somebody told me that they are actually Quetzals. I didn't even think of that one), Zapdos is a king fisher and Moltres is a heron.
-I had troubles with the whole 'Gaseous orb with a face, evolves into a thing with legs'- so I made it a Horseshoe crab. 's design is interesting too- they are bats.
-Koffing and Weezing are sea sponges found in heavily polluted areas- they eat anorganic and organic substances right out of the air. Gyarados is basing on the Viper Fish.
