absol is a product of nintendo yada yada yawn yawn
i was requested by to create an emo pokemon, the original one that i drew first was just awful, looked better in my head, and should of stayed there.
and when i tried coming up a new one i kept thinking about absols emo fringe ^^ and went with that

and i do use the magnifying glass to get closer to my pic, but its not for enlarging, for that you need the 'move tool' at the top right of the list, check the box that says, 'show transform controls' then you should be able to change the siz, but hold 'shift' to keep it scale if thats what you ment.
i'm gona working on pic that fits what you've been asking about, so i think i make a tutorial while i do.

i try to draw with brush , but do you after line it , you clean the no need lines (because hand shaking)
and what type of line? umm...airbrush? 5px?

well i do the clean up sort of while i draw it, if you draw a realy shaky line then rub it out and draw that part again till you get it right.
but if the if your line jkust looks a little shakey, then i woulded worry about it, if you coul look closer at some of my work, you could proberbly see that if made some shakey lines and not bothered to fix them, cus they would be too noticable
and about the brush size, i'll cover it in the tutorial

oh, i dont ink them, i only draw in pencil, the lines i did on photshop, pen tool 5px, as the for the shades brush i think i used an airbrush then used the smudge tool,

20% opacity
flow 100%
normal/multiply optional

oh sorry i ment brush tool not pen tool,
and about clearing your pencils line, are you not working in layers?
you put you scanned pencil in one layer and do line arts and anythig else on another layer above it.
