Daz Studio has put out a new beta version that includes a physically based render engine. Although I have never used DAZ studio I installed it and tried an Iray render myself today. I am a Poser user so most of my time was spent trying to get my content into DAZ studio. I only partially succeeded but was able to do a quick render of a Genesis 2 male character. The render took about 15 minutes to get to 95% convergence. That time compares extremely favorably to my usual workflow of Poser Pro 2014>Reality4> LuxRender which for the same samples per pixel would take me about 12 hours. This may just save me the money I was planning on spending on the Octane render engine. I definitely will have a steep learning curve though if I switch from Poser to Daz studio.
