Ok! I made an oil lamp! In art! woot! Modled after an eastern boxing turtle, using these photos for reference (with the kind permission of littleredelf) : [link] [link] [link]
So, left to right, top to bottom:
1) The bottom of the lamp when I'm first starting off
2) The top of the lamp, with impressions for multiple wicks
3) The shell pattern, but on looking at a picture of the easter boxing turtle again I realized the pattern was wrong, so . ..
4) I slipped over the pattern and redid it
5) Glaze pattern on the bottom
6) Glaze pattern on the top (I improvized )
7 and 8) Overglaze stuff . . .
