I decided I wanted to do some Warriors fanart. It's Mapleshade, a new villain that appears in Night Whispers, and Ivypaw. I was a bit disappointed that she didn't appear in the book more often but from what I saw, she was a prett cool villain. I'm not going to spoil anything for those who haven't read it.Dialogue:
Mapleshade - "Are you okay, little one?"
Ivypaw - "Leave me alone!"
Mapleshade - "Had a bad dream, dear?"
Ivypaw - "Why don't you just fade away into nothing?"
Mapleshade - "Oh, I'm not going anywhere until I settle a few scores..."
This is the actual dialouge in the book.
This toke forever to do. I wasn't going to add a background but then I was like, "Eh, what the hell. I'll do one." Done on Gimp. Shading is still kind of bad. Pine trees were lazily done.

Edit: Wow, 11 favs already? I know that isn't a huge deal but it's the most favs I've ever got for a pic. Maybe I should do another scene from Warriors. I'm thinking Tigerstar's death and an alternate cover for the second series. Have any suggestions?

It isn't quite clear on how she got there, unfortunately. She was really spiteful and bitter towards a RiverClan warrior, so maybe.

I just reread Crookedstar's promise, and she drowned her kits because she was shunned from Thunderclan because she took a mate from Riverclan. Then Riverclan didn't accept her so she became a loner, the other cat had two kits, Shellheart and someone else, and she was acting revenge on him, by ruining Crookedstar's life.

She didn't drown her kits technically. They drowned while trying to get to RiverClan. Her former mate toke a mate from RiverClan, who had a daughter, who was Shellheart's mother. She believed that it should have been her kits that would be leader, not Crookedstar. However, that is not the full reason why she went to the Dark Forest, as that is not made clear.

She is ginger and white according to the book but prior to the books release, one of the author said in an Erin Hunter chat that she was a white and tortoiseshell she-cat.

I just finished the book! I adore Mapleshade, for her awesome evilness. Ivypaw is amazing, the way she puts up with everything. Your an amazing artist!

I know right? I loved Mapleshade even thought she only had like three scenes in the whole book but it was the way she talked. It was like a sadistic mother. I can't wait for Crookedstar's promise where she's going to be the villain in that book.
I liked Ivypaw more now that she's helping the three out.
And thanks. I'm hoping to get photoshop and an art tablet for my birthday so I can improve on color and shading.

I know, I just wish Crookedstar's Promise was out like now D: It's lovely to see a she-cat villain, not just Tigerstar,Hawkfrost and all. I have grown to hate the tom villains, but I do love Flametail..He's not a villain, but I LOVE Tigerheart.

I she-cat villain is a nice change. Hollyleaf didn't really count.
