Way back as far as high school I used to frequent a website called Animation Source; a forum run by someone named Steet for all manner of art, writing, and discussion mostly relating to 2-D animated movies and shows. The Balto branch was where I spent most of my time, especially in the fan fiction sector. I had several good years there, extending clear through my college years, and was even a developer and briefly a fan fiction moderator on two of its branches, Bambi Source and the never-quite-finished Land Before Time Source. Sadly, due in no small part to a relatively small but adept pack of malcontents, the site saw a serious decline in traffic and many members in good standing were driven out.

Recently I was under the impression that the site had closed down completely, and while I'm relieved to report that it's apparently only a temporary shutdown for technical reasons, it was a bit of a gut punch to lose something that was once such a significant part of my life. I had some good years on there, not to mention a good many stories and other projects and quite a few friends besides. Some of those friends I haven't heard from in years, and it would be nice to get in touch with them again. Maybe this will bring some of them my way.

I compiled this from various pieces of fanart, including banners used on the site itself, that were saved on my laptop. I didn't have the names of all the artists, but everyone I could credit I did in the little bar at the middle of the picture. Also mentioned are a few old friends from the site.
