Description
The path through the forests had been long and tiring, with ferns and low bushes covering the forest floor during most parts of their journey. But now their goal loomed before them, or rather, they loomed above it. For far below the two pokemon, deep down into the earth lay the ruins they had been seeking. Fafnir peered down into the abyss to try and see anything but it was much too far down for him to see anything.“Nightshade?”
The mothim hummed and tilted his head to the side.
“When they said it had been earthquakes that had revealed a temple I had not imagined it would be in quite this way. But yes I will take a look,” Nightshade answered and slowly flew out over the massive ravine before starting to descend.
Soon he was out of view and Fafnir was stuck waiting for him to return. Not a fun thing but he did not want to risk walking too close to the edge in case it collapsed. He was not sure if he would survive it since Nightshade was not there to catch him. Better not risk it.
He did not know how long he sat there before the mothim once again returned but after a while his companion fluttered up out of the ravine and landed beside him.
“There is indeed the remains of human structures down there, broken pillars and walls. I also saw some holes leading into the cliffsides but I did not dare go into them on my own,” the mothim sounded slightly out of breath, which surprised Fafnir but he supposed the air down there was not the best and that could not have been fun to breath or fly in.
“There is also a way down on the other side of the ravine, you will need to jump up and down a bit but it’s very much doable.”
Fafnir hummed and nodded before looking over at his companion.
“Soon, but you need a break first before we begin the journey down.”
“Soon” Nightshade Agreed.
Fafnir and Nightshade out on a mission.
