(Title from Les Miserables, an entirely different play/musical altogether.)

My long-overdue end of an art trade with *Erudi : Kara Lindsay as Katherine Plumber in Broadway's Newsies.
Finished it last night. :3
The original request was for a drawing, and I really did try to draw her, but after three or four failed attempts at a waist-up shot I decided on a different approach and upgraded it to a painting instead. Actually, a week or so later (a few days ago I believe) *Erudi suggested that it'd be cool for me to paint her...
And, well, this isn't a watercolor, but it's still a painting. And I got to experiment! o:
The paints used here are acrylics, but mixed with some water so that the print shows through a little.
(I'm running quite low on acrylic paint! Also, I made sure that the articles, taken from a local paper, didn't have anything weird in them. The ones used here are about sports networks and wildfires and things like that.)
I cannot express enough how much better watercolors are to work with, at least for me. If you leave out acrylics and they dry up, they become useless blobs of rubbery stuff that can't be used ever again. (it didn't occur to me until yesterday that a piece of Saran wrap could prevent this problem OTL)
But if your temperas or watercolors get dry, you can just wet them again and they're literally as good as new. (They're also way easier to lift off the paper even if they've already dried!)

Elyse: I hope you don't mind that this isn't what was promised or expected, but I really hope you like it ;u;
