Been seeing a lot of Balto character redesigns as of late, and wanted to take a whack at giving our favorite wolfdog a new look. It really didn't take long to settle with a general design, I wanted to keep some aspects the same for character's sake but I also wanted to throw in some realistic touches. I made the markings around his eyes darker to bring out his eyes; I wanted bi-colored eyes to show a sort of split heritage, something that he can always look and see plain as day in reflections and such. I wanted the front leg markings to resemble his real self more, so I lightened those and darkened the rest of his underside colors aside from a patch on his chest and gradient on his tail.

Overall, looks like a pretty mixed up dude. I like it. I hoped I hadn't accidentally ripped someone else's visions for him off, I was trying to keep him in character as best I could.
