I heard that the image showing these had been taken down when it was leaked. Why would it be taken down if it wasn't legit? Suspicious in my opinion.

The odds of them being real are extremely good right now. While not officially confirmed, there's no evidence to discredit these from being the real final evolutions. 

Nobody has been able to find fault with these starters, and all evidence supports their legitimacy. The fact that Mallow was shown in the images prior to officially being revealed, plus the Chinese starter leak also getting a handful of info correct makes me believe these are indeed legit. 

Of course without them being completely proven yet, there's still that chance that this is an elaborate hoax, but I find that very hard to believe. Especially when there were requests for their images to be taken down from the Google image search. Seems awfully suspicious...
