Buttercup, The sweet little dragon. Buttercup is a lost wandering dragon. She's is unable to talk for mysterious reasons that nopony can figure out. She has lived on her own for some time, nopony is quite sure how long as she never seems to show any signs of age. When she meets Silver she clings to her like a little puppy, following her everywhere. Buttercup is shy at first around anypony she meets, but she is so curious that she doesn't remain shy for any length of time. She is fasinated by Spike and can often be found watching him and even mimicing him.
No one is quite sure why Buttercup looks so different from other dragons, but nopony really minds. She gets into trouble occasionaly, but most ponies can't seem to stay mad at her for very long.

History of the character: Buttercup is based off of my invisible childhood friend. She and I did everything together. No one but me could hear her speak, and even I never exactly thought of it as speach, but more of her feelings. Buttercup and I had a nack for getting into and out of trouble on a daily basis. My dad never could seem to remain mad at us for very long. Eventually I "out-grew" her. She seemed to just dissapear one night. Still I have held a special spot in my heart for her. She has been part of my insperation for all these years for my art, always asking me to seek a way to draw her. Up till now, nothing I did worked. But now, I am including the first successful version of her in this comic as a special tribute to her and to my childhood imagination.
