Description
"After weeks of travel in the treacherous Khanark Rockies, you havefinally reached the Sword Lands. These lush, coastal land are notorious for being ruled by trading city-states, Merchant Lords, War Lords, and Rogue Lords of all kinds of creed. Add to that the fact that nearly all undesirables and criminals eventually end up fleeing to these parts, and also the fact that these lands are infested with humanoids, giants, and monsters of all sorts, and you begin to understand well why these lands are known as the Sword Lands."- Trouble in the Sword Lands intro blurb.
Another Realmz splash art, this time from the scenario Trouble in the Sword Lands. Realms took a lot, and I do mean A LOT, from early D&D. many of the creatures and places mirrored those from D&D at the time. The Sword Lands mirrored the Swordcoast heavily.
I've mentioned that Realmz heavily influenced my role playing, and much of it has found it's way into my campaign setting. My current players began their adventure in the Swordlands, though those familiar with the old Realmz game would find these lands very different from those in the game.
