If it was rude, why haven't they expressed their distaste in my comment? It was neither rude nor negative.
It was a factual statement; I myself do propwork and it is only a matter of time before I learn how to make this should I choose to. Of course it took 13 hours; this is a prototype model. When you have no idea what you're doing, something is going to take a lot longer than expected.
For example, I am in the process of making a Turian hat ((Mass Effect 2)) for a friend of mine. I have never done this before, so until I KNOW what I'm doing, it's going to take time and care and hard work before I do it and do it right.
The hat is going to be pricey simply because I've never made one before. Once I know how to make them more quickly and efficiently, the price is going to drop because I have a better grasp on the concept. At this point, when I am comfortable making them, I can charge less because it is no longer a huge chore, but rather something I enjoy doing and know I can do well.
So you see, my comment was not rude. If I wanted to be rude, I would have told him ((and you, I suppose)) to suck my dick. Dare I say your reply to my otherwise neutral comment was more rude than my initial statement.
