Gundam 00: Infinite Stratos

Mission 1: Transfer Student

2306 A.D: One year before Celestial Being’s Debut. The third generation gundam meisters has completed their training and should have started their missions. However, Veda has unexpectedly planned out one final mission before they start their armed interventions. The funny thing is……….the mission is to send someone to the IS Academy for reconnaissance, and that someone happened to be Setsuna F. Seiei, the youngest member of the Gundam Meisters.

At a unknown sector in space, on board Celestial Being’s flagship, the Ptolemaios, or Ptolemy in short, five figures were discussing Veda’s new mission. The first was Sumeragi Lee Noriega, a well endorsed woman with long brown hair wearing a blue button up shirt, the second was Setsuna F. Seiei, a teenager with black hair, wearing a white shirt with a red scarf, the third is Lockon Stratos, a man with brown hair wearing a brown jacket, the fourth is Allelujah Haptism, a man with hunter green hair with bangs covering one side of his face wearing a black shirt, and lastly, a feminine looking man with purple hair wearing a pink cardigan and a pair of glasses.

“Alright Gundam Meisters, Veda has sent new orders for us, mostly for Setsuna.” Sumeragi then typed up the command and then a image of white buildings shows up on the screen. “Setsuna’s new mission is to infiltrate IS Academy and search for any evidence to see if the Infinite Stratos is used for war or terrorist activity.”

“Terrorist activity…….” Setsuna kept his poker face, but on the inside, he was relieving the painful memories of being a child soldier from those two words.

“Hear that Setsuna? You’ll be going to a school full of beautiful girls.” Lockon gave his small comrade a goofy smile, the older Gundam Meister thought of this as an opportunity to melt the ice around Setsuna’s heart. “I wonder if you’ll met the one over there?”

“I’m not interested……” Setsuna rejected Lockon’s comment, not caring about anything but the mission.

“Tch, still as cold as ever huh?” Lockon shrugged before letting out a bored sigh, knowing that Setsuna would say that. “At least you’ll have the mysterious transfer student thing knocked down.”

“Hold on a second. Do you think this is a good idea?” Allelujah questioned this mission that Sumeragi had explained to the Gundam Meisters, ready to voice his concerns and suspicions to this mission. “I mean...we only have a year left, and Veda suddenly shows this to us. Wouldn’t be a better idea to send another agent in Setsuna’s place?”

“That’s right. We must not put our grand goal at risk because of some trivial information.” Tieria protested, clearing thinking this mission was suspicious, the Gundam Meister saw the task as something an agent can accomplish, rather a pilot. “An intelligence agent should be a better choice, not Setsuna.”

“I know what you mean, but these are Veda’s orders.” Sumeragi tried to explain the importance of the mission, knowing Tieria’s strictness to Celestial Being’s missions. “If a Gundam Meister is being sent…. it must be important.”

“Roger……I will complete this mission.” Setsuna replied after hearing how important this mission is, then prepared himself for the mission briefing.

As the meeting between the five people ended, Sumeragi called Ian Vashti, Ptolemaios’s chief engineer, to explain the IS to Setsuna.

“As you know, the IS can only be used by women right?” Ian smiled at Setsuna, as he was waiting to tell Setsuna something exciting. “Well I found a way around it.”

“How…..?” Setsuna was curious as he knows that the IS can not be moved by men.

“It’s quite simple, the processor transmits your mental controls to Veda and the IS is remotely controlled by it. Basically, you’re half piloting it. Also, your IS name is “Seven Swords.” It’s based off from the Gundam Exia and the Gundam Astraea.” The chief engineer inputted the command on the monitor and showed the image of the IS in question, it had two large binders on the shoulders, two beam sabers on the back of the shoulders, two beam daggers on the back skirt, two swords on the side skirt, and a folding blade on the right arm.

“Seven Swords huh…..? It may not be a gundam, but I can use it against any IS that promotes war.” Setsuna stared at the image of his personal IS, looking at it’s weapons so that he may apply the skills to use the Gundam Exia onto the new machine.

“Oh, and of one more thing, your student identity is written to the last detail.” Sumeragi smiled at Setsuna as she was prepared to brief him on the other face the stoic Gundam Meister had to take during the mission. “You’ll be Azadistan’s IS Representative Candidate, and the world’s second male IS pilot. Our agents within the Azadistan government will validate your papers as soon as possible.”

“Roger….I will eliminate the targets.” Setsuna replied

“And another thing…….Don’t say “I am a gundam.” Got it? Also, there’ll be another male student, so make friends with him.” Sumeragi asked.

One week later, Setsuna was sent down to Earth for his first day at the IS academy. The incognito Gundam Meister stood behind the door of the class he was enrolled in. Soon after, Maya Yamada, the teacher of class 1-1 started the class.

‘Alright everyone, before we start the study session, there’s something I would like to tell you first.” The green haired teacher, Maya happily announced to the whole class which made everyone focus their attention on her.

“We have a new transfer student here!” She exclaimed, clasping her hands and turning to the door from the desk before calling, “Mr. Seiei, you can come in now.”

‘Wait! Did Yamada-sensei just say Mr. as in….the new transfer student is a male?!” One girl asked in surprise.

“You mean there’s another male who can pilot the IS beside Orimura?” Another girl asked.

“No way! Having Orimura alone is already great and now we have two males in our class!? Waaaaaaah, I’m so lucky to be in 1-1!” Another girl squealed in happiness.

Not far from where the girls are daydreaming about having another male student, a certain british girl with long blond hair wearing a blue headband was wearing a face of disbelief after hearing the announcement of another male with a IS. She was the IS representative candidate from England; Cecilia Alcott who came from a very famous noble family, and is an elite pilot who had her own IS. However, a certain male student by the name Orimura Ichika, was clearly happy about this, since he was sent to IS Academy because he touched an certain IS that derailed his normal life.

“Another male in this class?!” Cecilia thought with distaste, clearly not liking the thought of having two males in her class, since her father was the opposite of what a man should be. “Great! And I thought the japanese boy was bad enough. No matter, I will teach how to learn his place!”

Ichika on the other hand was having different thoughts from Cecilia as his face was filled with happiness and manly tears for not being the only male student. “Another male student here? Yes! I finally won’t be alone anymore!”

When the door slide open, Setsuna was wearing a uniform similar to Ichika’s uniform while holding some textbooks in his hand. He noticed the lone male student in the front wondering “Huh, that might be the male student Sumeragi was talking about.”

Slowly walking inside the class, Setsuna placed the books on Maya’s desk before introducing himself as his name appeared on the monitor board

“My name is Setsuna F. Seiei. Starting from today, I’ll be in your class. Pleased to meet you.” Setsuna greeted the class in his stoic voice with his poker face.

For a moment, the whole class was quiet while Ichika plugged his ears anticipating what will happen next…….

“KYYYAAAAAAHHHHHH! IT’S ANOTHER BOY!” All of the girls squealed in union which surprised Setsuna with all of the reactions he got. While Ichika sympathize with Setsuna as he experienced the same thing, Setsuna on the other hand, was baffled, and yet kept his poker face.

“Just look at his chestnut colored eyes! He’s so charming!” One girl happily exclaimed with sparkling eyes.

“He looks so mysterious!” Another student stared at Setsuna with an awed expression, likening the undercover Gundam Meister to a character in a certain popular mecha anime.

“I bet he’s the cool and dangerous type!” Yet another student gazed at Setsuna with a hungry look, eyeing the stoic youth as if he were a piece of meat.

“This new guy seems kind of odd.” Houki Shinonono, a strong, but beautiful girl with long black hair in a ponytail stared at Setsuna, seeing his hardened eyes and cold expression. “He looks like he’s been into a lot of fights, and yet why does he seem so familiar……?”

As Maya left, another teacher entered the classroom to take her place, Orimura Chifuyu, a stern looking woman with long black hair tied in a different style from Houki’s, dressed in a black suit that complimented her body.

“Alright class, it’s time for-” Chifuyu stopped dead in her tracks as soon as she saw Setsuna, as their eyes met from across the room, Chifuyu saw a familiar look in the undercover Gundam Meister’s eyes. “This boy is…” The black haired woman thought to herself as she compare the stoic youth to a figure from her past.

“This woman...is…” Setsuna made eye contact with Chifuyu, the undercover Gundam Meister felt the same sensation as Chifuyu’s.

“A Gundam Meister!” Setsuna and Chifuyu reached the same thought, years in Celestial Being taught them how to identify their fellow pilots in a glance, and both of them were in a shock.

Meanwhile across the world.

“God damnit! Someone hacked into Veda!” Alejandro Corner yelled in frustration that his plans may be ruined.

“Ribbons! Tell Phantom Task to find Setsuna or else everything is ruined.” He yelled as he walked out of the room

Ribbons nodded angrily because he was pissed that someone beside himself and Tieria can access to Veda.
