Hahahaha...This'll REALLY freak you out then. ....

In Nome...there isn't a SINGLE place to by CD's. Or any kind of music at all. NO JOKE.

how do you survive!!!??? I'm so sorry for you.. NOT EVEN ITUNES!?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-04-30 05:58:31 +0000 UTC]

Nope. Especially not iTunes. It's so windy and cold, it's hard for internet connection to get through. Computers here are so slow....

The ONLY fast-food restaurants here are Subway and Twin Dragon. There is ONE theater, but guess what movie JUST came out?? Eragon. It's SO SLOW!!!

A good thing about Nome:

There are (seriously) only THREE police officers within a 200 mile radius of Nome. *innocent grin*

Well, it's like 40 degrees. On New Year's Eve, I got frostbite because I was playing tackle-football in the snow and ice wearing shorts and a tee...and it was 50 below. (I know, I'm stupid) It was fun, though. It's hard to play tackle-football in 6 feet of snow when you're only 5' 1"...LOL

Yah, well...you know. I'm surprised, too, honestly. LOL, I just watched the movie Club Dread, and there was a girl there who was from "Nome, Alaska..." LOL Have you seen that movie? It's kinda...inappropriate, but it's funny.

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-05-12 14:09:01 +0000 UTC]

nope. i haven't even heard of it. xD what's it rated?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-05-13 00:43:08 +0000 UTC]

I believe it would be R or higher...LOL lots of blood, sex, and alcohol. I usually HATE movies with sex and all that in it, but this movie was HILARIOUS!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-05-24 20:52:58 +0000 UTC]

"hilarious"? "Club Dread" doesn't exactly have the title of a hilarious movie. xD But I'll take your word on it. Same here though. All the immorality with drugs, sexual content.. it all rubs me the wrong way.
It kind of depends on what type of movie it is most the time.
I was tellin my brother that you lived in Alaska and movies came out real late. He wants me to ask you if you have heard of, or if the movie, "300" has come out where you are.

It just came out a couple weeks ago, I think. About the Spartans, eh? I love the Spartans. I heard that that movie also had a bunch of sex and nudity, etc.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-05-26 04:25:45 +0000 UTC]

nah. no sexuality. nudity? sort of.. but not in an immoral, sexual way. although.. the "bad guy" did look pretty freaky!! xDD
The only reason it was rated "R" was because of all the gore in it.
I haven't seen the movie myself. My brothers have though. They didn't tell me that there was any scenes in it. but I could be wrong.
It's not my type of movie anyways. Gore and blood don't sit well in my stomach. (if you know what I mean)

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-05-26 06:05:44 +0000 UTC]

How people can deal with gory stuff is beyond me. If it's just blood, I'm fine. If it's more, then I'm out. Hahaha....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-05-26 15:40:04 +0000 UTC]

I'm exactly the same way. I can't stand any immorality. No one needs to see scenes like that. It's unfortunate that PG13 movies can have sexual scenes. 13 year old kids should not be exposed to that kind of stuff.
It doesn't help anyone. And biblically.. it's not right.

I think that movies like that twist other people. I mean, I heard a twelve year old- A TWELVE YEAR OLD, ask to rent a movie "because it was gory and this monster kills everyone."

People should not enjoy stuff like that. Of course, sometimes horror flicks can have people dying but not show it. I can deal with these, because I don't have to watch it. I personally love horror flicks that can make me jump or scream.

same!! I superly love science fiction and suspence movies!! My dad didn't know this but, there is a difference between horror, thriller, and suspence movies.
horror: totally gory. Usually pointless, dumb, storylines. (ex: The grudge)
thriller: Can be gory. or can not be gory. through out movie things pop out suddenly and unexpectedly. (makes you scream and totally get the couch wet..) (ex: Signs)
suspence: hardly ever has gore/blood. Usually has good story lines to keep the audience watching. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, dying to know what happens next. (ex: War of the Worlds)
Have you seen War of the Worlds!? WOW THE SUSPENCE IS INCREDIBLE!!
It's totally my favourite movie! if you haven't seen it then you have to! (unless you're totally terrified of supernatural, science-fiction, suspence, movies)

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-05-28 23:57:33 +0000 UTC]

The newest War of the Worlds was okay, but Tom Cruise ruined it. I can't stand his acting...he seems to be a jerk in all of his movies...

Actually, The Grudge made me jump a couple times, and there was almost NO gore in that movie! And as for Signs? Wow. That movie was so dumb...I liked the Scary Movie 3 version, better, hahaha...

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-05-29 02:34:55 +0000 UTC]

Signs!? Dumb!? *thrusts away* I don't know you anymore!!
xDD kiddin'~
I haven't seen any of the Scary Movies. But I've always really really wanted to! I have seen bits of scenes from all of them. and I remember seeing the Signs parody! That was HILARIOUS!!! I saw the one making fun of The Ring too! Have you seen that movie!!?? I have not seen a scarier movie! I was totally freaked out!!

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-05-30 23:47:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, well...Mel Gibson was overly-dramatic, so the whole movie felt kinda corny...

I love the scary movies, though. What about Epic Movie? Did you watch that, yet??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-06-02 03:19:55 +0000 UTC]

Yeah.. it did seem pretty corny.

Epic Movie? Yeah I saw it. Except it was extremely crude. I could expect a couple crude jokes but the whole movie was filled with innapropriate lines. ...'kinda disappointing.

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-06-02 07:57:32 +0000 UTC]

Haha, yeah. I can deal with crude humor, but only if it's spoken and not shown. My favorite part of Epic Movie was when "Willy Wonka" was dancing. He had some awesome moves!! I wish I could dance like that...HAHAHA....

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-06-13 08:44:11 +0000 UTC]

xDD!! hahaha! that was pretty funny! or when wonka was looking for the "children" and he was all creepy. xD
In his wierd voice: "I'm going to find you, children..." xDD

Yah, that was weird!! Then the Ice Queen had a myspace? LOL, that was funny!!

XD I loved the part where Lucy is in the museum (DaVinci Code) and she was finding the clues.

"LAME is a seven-letter word! Seven must be the secret key!" LOL

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-07-22 06:46:51 +0000 UTC]

HAHAHA!! Yup that was great!!
I never did see the DaVinci Code movie.. I feel sorry for anyone who believes that crap...DaVinci was a great artist..I don't think he should be used for some cult. XP

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-07-23 00:11:18 +0000 UTC]

So true. I think that the daVinci code was a good movie. I like movies like that. Kinda like 'National Treasure'? I LOVED that movie. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

draw-freak In reply to Kasai-Yokai [2007-07-23 19:04:44 +0000 UTC]

Ya! National Treasure was great! I think I would've liked watching the DaVinci code.. just because it's a puzzle action movie. It wasn't until the author of the DaVince code suddenly sprung a fast one saying that it was "accurate" or true, did I decide not to see it. XnX
I loved at the beginning of the National Treasure movie when Riley was like.. "Snorkle! See? I can do it too~" xD that was hilarious!

Kasai-Yokai In reply to draw-freak [2007-07-23 20:50:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah! Riley was my favorite character. __ !!!
