Description Okay DeviantART, just when I've lost all hope...don't fail me now.
I lose at composition. Help me. Please...
I know the zeppelin (yes, that is a zeppelin; squint your eyes) should be repositioned, redrawn, resized, and overall needs to be butchered up and glued back together again. The color scheme is dull and everything is muted. The background color is DEFINITELY subject to change. Just blah. Ew. Makes me wanna barf. I'm pretty sure the girl is breaking her arm or something. The three guys in the corner are all wrong (the middle guy is smaller than the last), and oh hey glasses guy what is up with your face. Just...help me with this. I really have no motivation to finish it. And for the record, no I did not do a thumbnail or anything beforehand, this is all pulled out of my ass 100% suckiness. Mostly submitted to show the few who watch my scraps that I'm alive. Kinda.
PLEASE CRITIQUE THX.

I tried by best with the zeppelin, hope it helps. I also kept the rule-of-thirds in there in case that's any help as well : )

(It's flipped, btw )

Ok, let me just start naming off random things I notice, that will perhaps give you some inspiration.

First off: zeppelin. I am studying to be an engineer, after all, so I like machines. But what I'm thinking is: make it your centerpiece! I know that it's off to the side for now, but you can keep it that way and still make it more of a focal point. BUT. Maybe draw the zeppelin in the lower right hand corner, and draw it from the top. This will give you a more interesting space to draw your characters in, and perhaps it will give you some inspiration, because you might be like, "Woah, why is the zeppelin seen from the top? Are my characters floating in a lovely weird fashion? What can I make them do?" And then just put your hand to the paper (er... tablet...) and see what you can do!!!

Now, that all involves pretty much re-drawing this scene, which honestly, I hate doing... it's a bit depressing to think that, "Mannnn... now I have to rewdraw this!" So I'll also give you some of my observations to help you with this picture as it is now.

First, I really like the guy with the top hat; it's interesting to make him the largest of everybody and makes him seem really important. But I again think that the zeppelin needs to be moved - so take your lasso tool and switch the positions of the top hat man and the zepp. Then move your other characters more to the right, again with the lasso tool. This will change up your composition enough to hopefully get those brain gears churing with enough interest to finish it.

One more thing completely unrelation to art; it concerns more of... what... psychology? Yes. You write "lol" on many of your drawings, and psychologically, this tells your brain that you don't care. I hope that doesn't sound like I'm trying to preach to you or anything, but I noticed this based on personal experience. I have a lot of essays to write, and the ones that give me the toughest times are the ones I start out (jokingly) with "Lol this essay sucks, why do I have to write thissss?" By writing that, even as a joke, I've basically told myself that I don't care, and it makes the dumb essay twice as difficult to write. D:

But yes, hopefully that ridiculously long comment will help you somewhat. Just lasso tool the various componenets of your drawing and see what kind of composition you can create!!! Good luck - this is intriguing so far!
