Habitat: Grassy Areas and Rain Forests

Diet: Grasses, Bamboos, roots (Mostly herbivorous)

Description:

At first glance, this rabbit-sized rodent doesn’t seem to have such significance and has the same niche as a rabbit. But they are very abundant and do contribute to the environment by eating certain plants that could outcompete other ones. These creatures live in burrows to mainly hide from predators but are mostly out in the field compared to their Bamboo Rat ancestors. They are also occasionally still seen chewing on bamboo and other plants to were down their teeth from growing into their skulls. Rabbit Rats are also a great food source for many creatures.
