Tony: This....this title. I know you think I'm being paranoid about them. I know some think I'm lashing out at Danvers because I can't get over what could happen to Rhodey...or...Banner...or well that stupid war on Hoshido and Nohr right now....and maybe that's true, Bruce. But it doesn't mean I'm wrong this time.
If we've learn anything about our time in uniform, or as Avengers or Justice League, is that the legacy...it's not gained, but earned. It HAS to be be earned. And that's my issue with Carol and Monica. They were never done with the name thing, sure they seemed to not care...but underneath it all...you can't let that slide...unless you fight over it for all eternity.
I researched Monica's powers, it didn't seemed to be so different from Carol, but when I took a deep look, realized it was Kree origin...it somehow made her and Carol more inclined in some heated discussions, willing to goad the other into a fight or competition over Drew, over Diana...anything. The entire dependecy on that legacy is pure.

That was my theory. My worry. So with all that in mind, I had to talk to Monica, question her how she wants to take back the title from Carol. I somewhat paid her to be my mole in Carol's Ultimates. That sounded like I'm doing what Kuroto wanted...but I don't care. Now I have to let Carol and Monica settle things out before the heat dies down. I did it because deep down, they need time to heal, they need time to settle it once and for all. I wanted to be wrong so I could go back and let it all overcome me. But Carol and Monica....it was clear they wanted this....THEY wanted to unleash the Ancient Kree.

So yeah....this explains how civil war II isn't going to happen per say....as the DrawVerse always finds a way to avoid/retcon* that fiacsso...by pitting Carol against Monica....because well her origin isn't too far off from Kree-based sources in this universe.

Furthermore, Wouldn't Carol vs Monica in civil war II makes much sense than Tony Stark due to well...they're both captain marvels, not because both are headstrong alcoholics(especially they did work for the...pro-regristrated side) and Linkara did make a point regarding Tony being with Ulysses instead of hating him in the civil war II review. Furthermore, while Monica can directly beat Carol by this point the idea of Tony using her as a contingency plan is based by Blackphantomx7's words(from the commission):
Monica would suck out all of Carol's energy like a vampire, and the beat the crap out of her, having had hand to hand combat training from Captain America.

But then again Carol could absorb it back and would fight Monica hand to hand as well after all, she's not going to let Monica take it laying down. As the commission piece shows, both Carol and Monica are going to throw down for the title, and frankly Rogue already has her share tbh

So dodged a Uncivil bullet there.
