Yeah knowing that I always say Rey and Ahsoka as more foils to each other than Starkiller to Ahsoka or Rey.....and with the supposed divisive ahsoka series, might as well do something justified for why Ahsoka choose to stay alongside Rey(and better reason for shipping them without making it more bad than it sounds) in Rey's timeline, case in point, having Ahsoka(who was Post Clone Wars Exile) becoming Rey's "mentor/master" in the ways of the Jedi/Force....as well as becoming her rival in being one of the last few students of Skywalker title of sorts as well as ideals on the jedi. Because frankly since Rey and Ahsoka do have similar story elements, the idea of a Young Ahsoka helping out Rey as well as them clashing across the galaxy to settle the jedi ideals is just works in a story element, as one artist puts it

Rey is weak character ... Ahsoka being grounded and compassionate would help her become a better woman, a better person-continued association with Ahsoka would give Rey direction and purpose, because honestly she has none. From Ahsoka ( the Jedi who does not call herself a Jedi) Rey would learn about honor, loyalty, dedication~BPx7

More so that Ahsoka would grow into her Rebels/Fulcrum stage during their partnership of sorts....see where I'm going here? But yeah while it wouldn't be a easy thing for Rey to best Ahsoka, it is satisfying when Rey could best Ahsoka....but a bittersweet one if both knew where it would lead to.

But it begs the question....if Ahsoka is time displaced into becoming Rey's mentor....then who should mentor Sabine....well the answers might suprise you as an idea down the line.
