To be honest, at first, when I seen both Ruby and Sapphire's characters, I thought "Wtf?! Why is the boy wanting to be pretty and win contests and the girl wanting to be rough and battle gym leaders?! I'm all for role reversals, but jeez!" But after a while, we kinda warm up to him. Still, this much can be said, him and Sapphire are a dent in the side-road compared to Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal xD
