Les Mis probably reminds you of the Hunchback of Notre Dame because they are written by the same author, and were both turned into a musical. However, in the original HoND, Esmerelda, Quasimodo and Phebus all die, but it was easy to get around that for disney... I think Les Mis was a little too depressing for that!
