11x14 oil pastel pencil and charcoal on pastelmatHere's a little project I've been wanting to do for a while! Since I was in between commissions, it was time to start this one!
Ever since I was in 1st grade, when I did a book report on the Toco Toucan, I have always thought they were some of the coolest birds.
My last job I worked at had a few Aracaris that would talk to me every morning when I would walk by them. That job has sense ended, but I grew to really love those guys! The Aracaris enjoyed being talked to and wanted to talk back to you!
Anyway, so here's a little momentum of those moments with those birds. They are beautiful, and I wanted to practice feathers and using lots of colors with oil pastels. The feathers are still a little on the "furry" side, but im happy with them 😊
