Cinderpelt's "feelings" for Firstar were completely unnecessary. The Hunters didn't need to throw that into the series. And its not like she ever confessed to him or anything. NOPE. But they still hate on Sandstorm even though FireXSand is one of the most actually developed couples in the entire series.Β

Erin is a terrible writer, but a great one as well.
There are many loopholes in her series and some atrocious writing (such as the battle with Scourge in The Darkest Hour), but the idea of warriors itself, her characterizations, her style, and a handful of the scenes are spectacular.
For a book that she created for middle schoolers/high schoolers though, it is a very great book, but for a book itself... it's has many fatal flaws, but they are clouded by the above-mediocre writing, and even the great writing once in a while.

XD I have to agree, I mean technically in all fairness. Firestar and Cinderpelt weren't a thing, Cinder had a crush on him sure but theres no saying if she'd remained a warrior they'd been together. And personally I don't see Firestar and Spottedleaf as a thing.

This is true, the Erin's said Spottedleaf died so Firestar wouldn't have to choose between her and Sandstorm. This is how I put it: Spottedleaf died so he wouldn't have to chose between a childhood crush and the cat who has been by his side his entire life.

It's painfully true... I don't get why so many hate Sandstorm. Can't ya just like- think over it a little bit? Firepaw fell in love with Spottedleaf the second he glanced at her, and in the same book she DIES. Their still meant to meet in Starclan and be forever in love? Just ditch Sandstorm whom you had an entire family with? xD That confused me so bad, I like Spottedleaf but honestly FirestarXSandstorm will always make the most sense to me lol...
