A little starling who hadn't quite gotten the ropes of flying yet showed up in the juniper bush outside my building.

He stayed there for quite some time and let me take pictures - I couldn't move the camera or myself more than a few millimeters without him mini-panicking and battering against a window or wall (got pics of that too ) before realizing he couldn't actually fly and plopping dejectedly back into the junipers, so I gave up real fast on setting up a pretty composition.

He was a cutie though, so I took a bunch of snapshots, so prepare yourself for a photodump if I find a lot of time on my hands in the next couple days. My camera's pretty bad with zoom, so the fact that you can see any detail at all in the feathers, etc. shows how close he let me get!
