Well if what everyone else says and my open beta/demo experience is right, I wouldn't be able to run it with much more than a hundred units or so on the lowest setting, 512 mb RAM ftl 
As for time, tbh these days I'm more in IRC and forum thingies oddly enough with my little group, so there 
As for the Solar Bean thing, I only stumbled into that meme by chance when someone decided to render it on the GPG forums...I'm usually good with memes but that flew over my head during the beta/demo I guess
