Notes: As you may have guessed, this idea came to me while having my morning coffee. I wanted to create a nice relaxing scene that showed the enjoyment of that first cup. The smartphone is shown tossed off to the side and the breakfast (of cookies, yay nutrition!) to show that she wants no distractions while savoring her coffee.
This is my first artwork in months due to having trouble with my illness and medications. Being able to create new artworks has been an incredible help to me. It also helped that this first new artwork has a relaxing theme which in turn was relaxing for me to create.
Tech Notes: This scene was rendered entirely in Poser 11 Pro with raytraced reflections, depth of field effects, and an IBL lighting setup I created with Render Studio 2014. I wanted the lighting to look like a morning sunrise with very faint, mostly ambient interior lighting. The buildings in the background weren’t added in postwork, they are in the scene and rendered with a high quality depth of field effect. The interior setting that I used had very low quality materials and no curtains so I fixed that by updating all of its materials and adding my own sets of curtains. I also created raytraced reflection style glass for the window with a soft/blurred reflection. I want to thank Lorely (IslandGirl) for her suggestion of how to create the crumbs for the cookies on the plate. I was going to use brushes to add smaller crumbs (from a suggestion by Anglu, thanks by the way!) but it was a little too much. The steam for the coffee was added with one of the brushes I found though. I then used some Photoshop actions and overlays in postwork to finish the piece.
