This is my entry for:
Just a Touch of Blue Contest[link]
It's been almost a year since I drew my last Deviant ID and since I've improved a lot, I felt it time to draw a new one. Sadly, my hair is not blue (it's currently bright red).
Drawn with:
Graphite pencils (B2, B4, B7)
Aquarelle pencils (I don't paint with them!!!)
On A3 white cartridge paper.

While I do love this drawing... the eyes sorta have this 'deer in headlights' look to them. Maybe do some eye studies perhaps?

You've really worked the colour well into this predominantly graphite drawing. You're very brave! I'm too scared to try this technique out myself. It's such a striking piece.

I started off feeling the same way. I only really started drawing again a little over a year ago but I wanted to challenge myself in different ways with every drawing I did. So I have the mindset that I will keep working at every drawing until it looks the way I want it. I use to just give up if things didn't work out immediately but I've developed a lot of patience!
