When Harry was allowed to come out of his cupboard, the summer holidays had already started, and the Dursleys were enrolling Dudley in Smeltings, despite him wanting to go to stone wall with Harry. Dudley isn’t too happy about wearing his uniform as he claimed it made him look ridiculous. After Vernon burned the first letter, he talked to Harry saying that the cupboard was too small for him now, and that he’d be moving to Malcolm’s playroom on the second floor. There he saw Malcolm’s old stuff, including Dudley’s broken video camera which Malcolm had broken right in front of him, Malcolm’s fist television set where he put his foot through after his favourite show had been canceled, a real air rifle which was bent after Malcolm sat on it.
