Through the streets...thats where he was walking, Dec looked up at the tall building, he stared at it with his blank face then looked at the bag at his side, "Yes, i know its in there L, you must keep quite or we'll be caught" he said to the spoon in his bag. H walked in slowly, there was a man at the reception desk, Dec meerly walked past the desk into the hallway, "HEY! Memebrs of the public arnt allowed there!" yelled the receptionist as he picked up the phone on the desk, Dec swiftly pulled out a small book and opened it he placed it right up to the receptionists face. The receptionist looked at it and quickly put the phone down, "Im sorry sir! I just never expected someone so young to be on the force" the man said alarmingly. Dec stood there, still holding the ID to the mans face,"Its alright i get it everytime i walk in here" Silence...a few minutes went by and Dec still had the ID up to the mans face, "Ummm..." said the man, Dec then quickly put away the ID and kept walking. When he was sure the man could no longer hear him he looked at his bag and spoke, "Oh i can't possibly take all the credit L, you helped make it look more real after all"

Dec walke up the stairs instead of taking the lift, that way if somone came down the stairs he could easily walk down to avoid them, "So the notebook is on the top floor" Dec said to the spoon in his bag, silence for a moment, then Dec spoke once again, "Maybe...we'll just have to wait and see" then he continued walking. After a while he heard decending footsteps, he stopped and listened carefuly, to make sure it wasnt just the echo's of his own footsteps, he confirmed that it wasnt his and quickly climbed onto the railing and then suspeneded himself with his arms and legs in a gap on the ceiling. Moments went by before a woman walked under him, Dec heard somthing and looked at his back "Shh" he whispered, the woman stopped and stood still, Dec looked carefuly at her, judging to see if she would turn around, if shed did then he would have no choice but to knock her out. A few more tense seconds went by before the woman sneezed, she pulled out a tissue and blew her nose and continued walking down. Dec waited a little while to make sure she wouldnt come back up, then he dropped to the floor, he opened his bag and pulled out the silver spoon, "You almost got us caught" he said to it, "Don' make excuses i thought i told you to be quiet" The spoon seemed to give him an eveil eye,"Fine! You dont like the way im going through with this" he puts the spoon on the floor in front of him, "you lead the way" He stood there behind the spoon, waiting for it to make a decision, "Thats what i thought" he picked it up again, "Stay silent, or we'll get caught" the spoon seemed to argue with him, "If you dont, L, then ill be sure to drop you in the first toilet we pass" the spoon then seemed to stay silent after he said that

Dec managed to reach the office where the spoon said the notebook would be, Dec looked around and sighed, "You'd think theyd try harder to hide it" he said as he walked over to the desk and reached under it, he grabbed a handle and twisted it clockwise 3 times and counter-clockwise 3 times. A small secret drawer slid out, it had a iron caseing and a pannle of black and silver buttons, Dec pulled out the spoon and placed it beside the pannle, "Well, L put the code in" the spoon decided not too, "Do i haf to do everything?" Dec asked as he pressed some buttons and the box made a clicking sound then opened, revealing a black book identicle to the one Dec has, "Jackpot" Dec said with a blank expression as he pulled the book out, "Lets see, this book belonged to Light Yagami, they said he wrote over 800 pages of names, each page holds 40 names so if my calculations are correct..." he opened the notebook and looked down the page and stopped at his friends, "Well Lawliet, be sure to thank me for this" Dec pulled out the black eraser and completely erased L's real name, he waited

and waited

and waited...he heard a voice behind him...

"Thank you Dec for helping me return"
