Description
The TreesThe woods are
Where I go to think.
A cool dark-green cave;
Shelter from the noise of the city.
You hear the hum of bees,
And the flap of a bird’s wings,
And the pecking of a woodpecker.
You see the bright colours of a butterfly,
And the blurry wings of the bright-green hummingbird,
And the silent, tall, green trees.
As the wind blows,
The trees speak;
They whisper to one another.
“What is this small thing that walks beneath us?”
Then all is still,
And the trees sleep.

Always wondered what the trees were thinking... Now I have a better idea; thanks!
