October is that time of the year when some race cars use to get Pink in the world of motorsports. And on the last weekend at Laguna Seca there was no exception. A black and pink RX-8 caught my attention at the grid, but the real surprise came up when I found a paddock girl wearing the same colors and standing beside the car.

When I got closer and asked If I could take her a picture, she agreed in a nicely and friendly mood. We started to have a little chat, and it turned out she wasn't even a model. She told me she was doing it for a friend, who was the driver's wife and had survived such critical condition. We kept talking about it, and how foundations do their best to fight against cancer. How many women fight to live because of it and how this worldwide movement in motorsports supports this cause. She clearly said that if it was necessary she would do it again without being asked, supporting the foundation for her friend all the women in the world that have to go through such condition.

Not only gorgeous but really smart indeed, word by word she made me even think about the whole situation. And how great it was that some of us drivers showed support and rode ¨Pink¨ in the sport she loved the most. After taking the picture and giving a nice farewell to each other, she blinked an eye and with some sense of humor she said something I'll never forget:

¨....Remember, Breast Cancer Sucks, PERIOD!....¨
